Note: Use of Internet Explorer for eRA modules to be phased out by July 19, 2021. Please switch to other eRA supported browsers when using eRA modules. Please reference eRA Browser Compatibility for a list of supported browsers.
Note: Required Use of Two-Factor Authentication via login.gov for eRA’s External Modules in 2021
Users of eRA Commons, ASSIST, Internet Assisted Review (IAR) and Commons Mobile will be required to use login.gov for two-factor authentication (2FA) in 2021. This requirement has started being phased in for reviewers starting Dec. 14, 2020 for meetings on Feb. 1, 2021 and beyond. Other users are encouraged to make the switch now before the mandatory deadline of Sept. 15, 2021. Users should make sure their account is active they know their account password. If you are unsure of either, then use the link — Forgot Password/Unlock Account?. Also, do not use any old bookmarked URLs, as it may interfere with the login.gov setup process. See details.
Note: Commons Mobile is being retired on April 25, 2022, because the same mobile-friendly capabilities are available on the Principal Investigators (PI) Status screens of eRA Commons. After that date, if you need to access the Status screen for PIs on your phone, log into eRA Commons on your phone and click the Status module button to access the same features as Commons Mobile
Note: NIH is working with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to obtain approval for changes to the templates and application instructions for biosketch and other support attachments. A guide notice with details on the changes and implementation will be issued when approval is received.
